The Lost History of Walt Disney World

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Lost History of Walt Disney World: A Tour of the Forgotten, Little-Known, and Obscure History of the Most Magical Place on Earth is a must read for every Walt Disney World fans. There’s a wealth of information about this vacation destination that can’t be found in ordinary park guides, and this book touches on every park, the failed projects, the inside stories, and explanations for all the changes that occurred in Disney parks. It’s absolutely fascinating.

Walt Disney parks are constantly evolving, with new rides replacing outdated attractions, shows to promote new Disney movies, and celebrations that inspired visitors for generations. There are homages to almost every attraction ever removed, sometimes moving animatronics to another location or incorporating old props into the decor of new places, but the most common tributes seem to be posters or photos with nods to the past. This book tells readers where to find these enduring mementos while exploring the parks while explaining the stories behind every change.

It begins by explaining how and why Walt Disney chose Florida for his dream, and there are chapters for each of the four parks. There are more than two-hundred pages of information about the Happiest Place of Earth, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading every one of them.

My sister is a huge Disney fan, and even worked at one of them resorts for a semester while in college. I preordered a copy for her, and can’t wait for her to read it. The Lost History of Walt Disney World is an absolute treasure and I highly recommend it.
